Mette Tibergaard was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 13. After some years struggling with her diagnosis and trying to hide it from others, she is now a proud member of the patient panel at Steno Diabetes Center Aarhus, where she has been a patient since 2022. Mette spoke to the Novo Nordisk Foundation about her experiences at the centre and the importance of being heard.
