Steno Diabetes Center North Denmark
Leading the way in digital diabetes care
Website:
Steno Diabetes Center North Denmark (SDCN) opened in 2018 with the particular goal of developing and disseminating digital health solutions that can help ensure all people with diabetes in the region get the same high-quality treatment, regardless of where and how they receive it. SDCN will move into a purpose-built facility in 2024.
Around 5,000 people are treated annually at SDCN, but far more are expected to see an improvement in their care as a result of the centre’s specific research into early detection and treatment.
The Novo Nordisk Foundation has committed up to DKK 795 million (€107 million) for SDCN. The funding period runs until 2027, with a possible extension thereafter.
