Research area
My research work is focused on analytical chemistry within the field of metabolomics and more precisely within lipidomics. My main task in the Systems Medicine group at Steno Diabetes Center is method development and sample analysis by means of liquid chromatog-raphy coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS) both in a non-targeted and in a targeted fashion. The equipment used for these studies are 1) a liquid chromatograph coupled to a quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer (LC-QTOF-MS) and 2) a liquid chromatograph coupled to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (LC-QQQ-MS).The data acquired by the LC-MS platforms is further processed and linked to ongoing diabetes studies within the Systems Medicine group.
